The Men's Volleyball Team has been one of the greatest experiences we have had as students at Santa Clara University. As a members of this team, we have built lifelong friendships, become more dedicated and focused, and have realized that discipline and hard work can bring tremendous rewards. Since 2005 we have grown tremendously, including 2 strait top 8 finishes (tied for 5th) in the competitive 48 team field of NIRSA Division I. This past year, we took sixteen players and our coach to a tournament at UNLV and to the National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky. For the first time in our program's history, we had two DI All-Tournament selections. Right side, Colin Niedermeyer, received 2nd Team honors and graduated senior setter, Jason Kennedy, received Honorable Mention honors. This year we added seven new players and hired a new coach. Our goal, once again, is to win the national championship. However, in order to maintain our competitive edge, we need your help.

The essence of a Club Sports team is that it is entirely self-run and self-funded. We estimate that we need to fundraise $13,000 to continue to compete at a high level. We are now receiving invitations to elite tournaments around the country ( Michigan St , University of Arizona , UNLV, and UCSB). Increased travel expenses limits our ability to attend these tournaments.

Our team has been so fortunate with the gracious support of our family, friends, and alumni. Without them, we would not have been able to have this great experience. In April, we will compete in the 2008 NIRSA National Tournament in Dallas , Texas . Over 250 men's and women's Club Sports teams from all around the country will come to compete for national championships in six divisions. We are requesting your consideration for a financial donation to support the Santa Clara Men's Volleyball Team. Y our generosity would make a huge impact on the team's ability to fully participate in the events this year as well as the future growth of the program.

All donations are tax deductible and for every $50 donation you will receive a Santa Clara Men's Club Volleyball t-shirt. If you donate over $150, you will receive a t-shirt and a Santa Clara Men's Volleyball sweatshirt ( Please note: receipt of shirts affects the tax deductibility of your gift) .
